My approach is holistic, person-centred/child-centred, arts-based and playful. I am deeply committed to trauma-informed practice, and social justice. I believe that healing happens in spaces that respect and honour the full diversity of your identity and needs, and I am dedicated to ensuring that all clients—whether you or your children—feel heard, valued, and seen.
Arts-based Therapy:
Expressive Arts Therapy (EXA) is a unique and powerful type of therapy. In a session, we rely heavily on our senses (i.e. touch, seeing) and using creative tools (i.e. art, writing, movement, theatre). As such, EXA might be quite different from other types of therapy you may have tried before, which leans a lot on the mind and on talking. An EXA session is a very embodied (in our body) experience, bringing us back to each present moment and into our own personal flow. This flow or presence allows us to connect to our inner knowledge and helps us cultivate creative & healing solutions to our lives. EXA therapy works at a very deep level, and I’ll be honoured to do this work with you.
Areas of focus:
-
Depression; anxiety; grief & loss; anger issues, rage; relationships; infertility; life transitions & purpose; cultural & racial identity; issues at school & work; bullying

Who I Work With:
I foster an environment where people of all ages can express their thoughts and emotions through small (or big) acts of creation, playing, using paints, pencils, clay, movement, voice and others. I specialize in working with children (ages 4+), as well as youth and adults.
No prior arts experience needed.
Children & Youth:
EXA is a particularly fitting therapy for children & youth who can struggle to articulate complex feelings. Using arts and play as a medium helps them communicate emotions such as anger, sadness, or fear in ways that feel more accessible (i.e a drawing, a story). EXA sessions help children & youth build emotional awareness, coping skills, and gain a sense of mastery over their experiences, which fosters emotional healing and personal growth.
Let’s work together to build on your strengths and work towards more aliveness, empowerment, and a sense of creative possibility in your life- and the lives of your children.
I look forward to supporting you and your family on this creative and healing journey!
